=== Note for GT-11/BGT-11 GPS Handheld Firmware Update ======================== From time to time, there are firmware updates or upgrades based on the feedback from our customers. Before officially releasing them, the trail version (unofficial build) will be put at Downloads for customers who are interested in testing the new features or functions. To distinguish between the unofficial builds and the official builds, the firmware version number ended with a 'T'(Trail version), V1.5 B0406T, for instance, is to be made available for testing purposes only. The ending 'T' of version number will be removed soon as the trail version has been approved as an official build, i.e. V1.5 B0406, for instance. Current users of GT-11/BGT-11 may download the trail version for testing purpose, and the comments on the trail version are welcomed for further improvement. However, for who are interested in using the firmware (both official and unofficial builds) other than testing purpose, should obtain in advance, a written approval from LOCOSYS Technology Inc. === Change note === (from V1.5-B0313 to V1.6-b0412T) ========================= - removed speed filter(faster speed response) - added big font display for SPEED,TRIP MAX SPEED,ALTITUDE,CURRENT TIME under Trip Page - supported track/waypoint to MMC copy - added MMC log on fix option(ON,OFF,ON-FIX) - Russian SPORT string fixed - big compass pointer - added 2-second/10-minutes interval for track log === Change note === (V1.6-b0418T) ============================================ - Besides NAV,SPORTS mode, a USER mode is added. Users can select this mode and choose preferred DOP threshold value(0..50). A BIN item is added under SD/MMC/NMEA item, The SiRF binary messages 2,7,15,28 will be logged into SD/MMC if BIN item enabled. (Disabled in later version) This "BIN" item is mutually exclusive with any other NMEA items. That is you can either log SiRF binary data or NMEA data to SD/MMC, but not both at the same time. The file extension name for BIN item on SD/MMC will be ".SBN". - Provided Trip pause: Trip now can be paused, continued,or reset. - Fixed ZDA rate setting bug for SD/MMC log - Satellite signal bar chart is revised to indicate if satellites used for fixing or not. A hollow signal bar indicates the corresponding SAT is not used for fixing. === Change note === V1.6(B0511T) ============================================= - Fixed over speed alert - Patched SD compatibility problem. [bin] and other NMEA items are mutual exclusive. The detail format will be provided on request. *** The other messages are disabled *** - File naming changed for SD data logging User name and device serial number is included in log files in SD for better file identification - Automatic arrival For navigation, GT-11 will prompt arrival message for about 10 seconds then automatically loads the next waypoint for navigation. The waypoint name in Compass page is highlighted to indicate the waypoint is arrived. - New backlight control A new item [BACKLIGHT] is added under [SETTING]. If [BACKLIGHT] is off : Backlight will be always off if [BACKLIGHT] is on : if [BACKLIGHT TIME] is off: [ESC] key in main page is used to toggle backlight if [BACKLIGHT TIME] is 10~60 seconds: Backlight goes off if no any key pressed. Pressing any key will turn on backlight again. === Change note === V1.6(B0516T) ============================================= - Add Speed threshold value for "ON-FIX" mode for SD/MMC data logging === Change note === V1.61(B0522T) ============================================= - In SD/Bin log mode, binary Message 13 will be logged around every 110 seconds - For ON-FIX mode, creating file only when position is fix (to prevent creating empty files) - Fixed SD file naming bug - Support user name update via NAViLINK command line utility (v1.51 or above) - Add [DEFAULT VALUE] under [SETTINGS] page to set device back to default settings === Change note === V1.61(B0530T) ============================================= - Added Waypoint projection function to support Geocaching users [PROJECT] command under [WAYPOINT] page can be used to create a "projected" waypoint based on an existing waypoint. - Revised automatical arrival The arrival alarm is reduced to 8 seconds and any key pressed will end the alarm. === Change note === V1.61(B0608T) ============================================= - Fixed distance display in [NM] unit (Thanks Johann K.) - Support internal cyclic data logger in page [DATA LOGGER] - Erase the oldest points when memory full - Max points 26624~28672 - Time interval(1..60 sec) - Minimum speed threshold (1..50 KMH/MPH/KNOT) - Need NAViLink Command Line Utility to download and convert the logged data - The format of binary message 0x29 logged to SD is changed. The unfiltered COF/SOG is appended. The definition is the same as the original COG/SOG in MID 0x29 === Memo ==== V1.61(B0608T) ============================================= More SD cards compatibility information -Kingston 2Gb:OK -Transcend 1Gb:OK -Kingston 1Gb: format issue -Viking interworks 1Gb: format issue === Change note === V1.61(B0702a) ============================================= -Support VMG in [COMPASS] of [NAVIGATION] page -String table patched for Spanish version -Time delay added after SD/MMC file open (patch for SD data writing error for some specific SD cards) -Disable code optimization for SD/MMC library (patch for accessing low speed SD cards) -Support high accuracy speed measurement application: [Thanks Dr. Tom Chalko] Several GT-11 units now can be synchronized with sub-second offsets and +/-50 ms tolerance to provide GPS data sequences at the rate higher than 1Hz. For example 4 GT-11 units can be used to generate GPS data at 4Hz. Sub-second synchronization is achieved using ALIGN option in SETTINGS. The relative synchronization can be maintained for several hours if all synchronized GT-11 units track the same set of satellites and tracking is not disrupted. -[NMEA BIN ALIGN] is added in [SETTINGS] -The items are prefixed with 'N' or 'B' for NMEA ,binary data alignment time. -Once you select the UTC millisecond for alignment, it will invoke an alignment when position is fixed. -PVT page in [SAT SIGNAL] can be used to monitor the UTC msec -The time format is changed to HH:MM:SS.sss N/B. -Pressing [ENTER] on Satellite PVT page will force time alignment. -The time display will be highlighted to indicate the progress of alignment - To make time alignment work please also a) set SD/MMC card to log binary data and b) ensure that synchronized units are close together so that they can track the same set of satellites. c) From time to time check time (milliseconds) in PVT page in [SAT SIGNAL] to make sure that relative time delays between different units are satisfactory. - Reference link : http://mtbest.net/speed_sailing_helmet.html - Software that can process multiple GT11 files is RealSpeed beta 1.906 and above.
